Binding/binder posts, also called barrel nuts, are internally threaded and accept a machine screw of the same diameter and thread size. Since the head of a binding post sits nearly flush against the surface, they can be used in applications where there may not be room for a protruding screw tip and hex nut. They can also be used as a substitute for rivets in some cases. • Head Type: Truss head slotted • Post Diameter and Length: 3/16 inch X 1 inch • Inner Diameter-Thread Size (Size of Mating Screw): #8-24 • Accepts included machine screw • Sits nearly flush against the surface once installed • Thread Type: Coarse, Thread Class: UNC-2A, Point Style: Blunt • Specification(s) Met: ASME B1.1
