ABS Plus is for drain waste and vent purposes only. It is for non-pressure systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 degree Fahrenheit. It is lightweight has a PVC core requires no special tools for cutting and is easily installed by solvent cementing (no primer required). ASTM F 628 specification covers coextruded ABS plastic drain waste and vent pipe made to schedule 40 iron pipe size (IPS). ASTM D 2661 specification covers fittings and single extruded (solid wall) (ABS) plastic drain waste and vent pipe made to schedule 40 iron pipe sizes.
