The Aluminum Flex 280 – Compressible is a single-ply aluminum duct with a lightweight yet robust construction. This metal duct has rests at a length of 0.8 meters out of the box, fully compressed. Then, you can extend it to its fully stretched length of 3 meters. It is a semi-rigid duct, which means that it is a flexible metal hose that stays in place once it has been bent. This is due to the duct’s aluminum, helically corrugated construction, a structure which also enhances the duct’s overall durability.Furthermore, because of aluminum’s ability to withstand a high temperatures, the Aluminum Flex 280 – Compressible has a working temperature range of 22 degrees Farenheit to +284 degrees Farenheit. Naturally, this hose also resists metal fatigue, weathering, and a host of corrosive fumes and chemicals. This metal flex-duct comes in a wide variety of inside diameter I.D. sizes: 3in, 4in, 5in, 6in, 8in, 10in, and 12in. In every I.D. size, this duct has a wall thickness that ranges between 0.1 and 0.11 mm. In addition, its ends are plain cut, and its I.D. tolerance is 0 to 0.1 in.This flexible metal duct works well for plethora of demanding industrial, commercial, and residential applications, such as chemical fume ventilation, circuit board cooling, exhaust system ducting, HVAC ductwork, oil mist ducting, outdoor ducting, pollution control, and general ventilation applications. Use it for your wood stove or your kitchen exhaustthis aluminum duct is versatile, as well as cost-effective!
