This is one of several keepers or strikes used by the various casement, project-out, transom, or hopper window locks. It provides a surface for the lock to strike against while causing the lock to tighten as it slides up the angled surface of the strike. Made of diecast white bronze, it has mounting holes of 1-3/8 inch on center, and set slightly offset of the centerline of the strike.
