These Utility Compression Porch Springs are constructed of 0.227 gauge diameter spring steel and come in a corrosion-resistant, nickel-plated finish. They are commonly used to support hanging porch swings and allow for easy swinging. If installing a porch swing for the first time, a good pair of heavy-duty hooks or eyebolts will be required, depending upon what material they will hang from. These springs replace worn and missing porch swing springs and they are rated with a maximum safe load of 342 pounds each. The wire diameter of these springs have an outside diameter of 1-9/16 inch with a 7-3/4 inch overall length.
