Beautifully printed on silk-like Endura-GlossTM and Endura-PolyTM material, stick flags are carefully hem-stitched on all four sides and mounted on a staff with spear. The state flag of South Dakota has used the relatively same design since 1909. However it changed in 1992 to add scenery to the seal, and changing the state inscription from "The Sunshine State" to "The Mount Rushmore State".
